ATELIER LYRIQUE : "THE BODY SINGS"

                  

Session 1 :  16 to 30 June 2024

 

a full 2 week intensive workshop for singers and repetiteur/coaches                               Open to all levels      NO AGE LIMIT 

 These intensive workshops concentrate on dramatic and musical coaching of the classic vocal repertoire in preparation for auditions, competitions, in-depth study of a complete operatic role or personal professional development.   

   

Under the direction of  internationally recognized Oera Director and Operalogue,  Jeannette Aster, and  Vocal clinician baritone

 Stuart Graham  

the  faculty includes: 

Narmina Afendiyeva , head coach

pianists: tba

Guest conductor   tba

Philippe Greneche , career consultant  Paris

Robert Verguet,  recording engineer 

         Limited to 12 participants      8 singers 4 pianists

             No auditions first come first served basis

 

Individual study programmes created and  tailored to the specific needs of each participant.

  • 50 hours of individual work and small group sessions with musical, vocal and dramatic coaches

  • Aria study, melodies and lieder, complete role study, development of special projects, audition preparation

  • Emphasis on polishing text, diction, languages, style in performance repertoire as well as integrating stage presentation skills, and physical expression in performance.

  • Daily physical and vocal warmup “Tuning the body”, emphasis on physical expression, engaging the body, breathing

  • Career Counselling with professional consultants

  • Professional quality recording of a demo audition CD possible upon request 

  • Open Masterclass and Public concerts

OPERA.CONNECTIONS.EUROPE

  AUGUST 02- 14 2024

 

Opera. Connections.Europe is an unique  mentorship program geared specifically to building network connections and preparing emerging opera singers for the European audition experience.

 

Designed and developed in partnership with agents and theaters throughout Europe, the 10-day workshops offer thorough audition preparation with international experts but most importantly,  a

realistic understanding of the European opera scene and the opportunity of building personal networks with opera professionals in Europe with follow-up and continued mentoring through audition tours and further professional opportunities.

 

The objective of the programme is to offer emerging opera singers from around the world the counselling support and network connections to access the European opera market.
